Description
December 2000 saw the completion of a million dollar face-lift, resulting in the unveiling of a very elegant and understated 70 seat dining room, unlike any other in Vancouver.

Grey marbled flooring, leather paneled walls & soft lighting created by delicate rice paper lampshades all add to the luxurious feel of this room. Brown leather chairs made by Cassina grace the tables. A beveled glass partition separates the kitchen from the main dining room, cleverly allowing the theatre of the kitchen to be observed without the intrusion of noise.

Additional features include a unique ‘wall of wine’ behind the 10-stool bar - ladders are required to reach its dizzy heights.

Chef David Hawksworth returns to his native Vancouver after spending 8 years in Europe expanding his repertoire. Having worked under some of the finest chefs in Britain, Hawksworth now brings his expertise back to Vancouver. Ouest offers an innovative menu displaying well executed dishes that pair traditional French recipes with the best ingredients that the West Coast has to offer.

An extensive wine list has been compiled by General Manager/Sommelier Brian Hopkins. As well an in depth French section, the list will offer a variety of New World and BC wines. Some rare and sought after vintages will be prevalent with a special focus made on providing a wide selection of wines available by the half bottle.
