Description

Blue Water Café and Raw Bar presents a stunning 110 seat dining room, with three bars and a Private Wine Room housing thousands of bottles of wine. The fourteen stool Raw Bar takes center stage, the long Main Bar is located at the front of the room and the unique Ice Bar whose surface is part ice, brings up the rear. Much of the historical brick, beams and timber remain exposed, although a number of contemporary flourishes have been added. A brass & steel open kitchen runs along the North Wall. Seats are made of soft brown leather, some tucked into intimate booths. A heated terrace offers ‘al fresco’ dining in the heart of Yaletown.

Chef James Walt (ex Araxi in Whistler) opened the Blue Water Café and Raw Bar, in September 2000 to rave reviews. His focus at Blue Water is to create innovative indigenous and refined seafood cuisine.

Specialties of the house and not to be missed are the stunning Seafood Towers, daily fresh fish dishes and for meat lovers Canada’s best triple ‘A’ steaks. Vegetarians are treated to alternatives that salute BC’s best local produce. An extensive wine list has been compiled encompassing some of the finest wineries in the world. Over 2,500 bottles are housed in The Wine Room where private dining is available for parties of up to 28. the ambience is enhanced by a unique music compilation commissioned by a New York DJ.
